Three distinguished guests are hosted in a discussion on entrepreneurship in 2026. Four statements are put forward, creating the space for an open dialogue on what truly makes someone an entrepreneur; to what extent social media shape the perception of what it means to be an “entrepreneur”; what makes an idea a good one; how the transition happens from being an employee of one’s own business to becoming a real entrepreneur; how a business can grow after reaching a certain stage of maturity; and which funding options can make such growth possible in Cyprus.

Above all, the discussion explores whether—and how—life balance can exist for those who choose this solitary path of market uncertainty and rapid technological change.Participating in the conversation are Theodoros Loukaidis (Director General, RIF), Giorgos Malekkos (CEO, PowerSoft), and Christos Onoufriou (CEO, Odyssey Cybersecurity). The question is raised of what innovation truly means in Cyprus and why the perception persists that “nothing happens here.”

The Director General of the RIF and two CEOs who founded and scaled technology companies speak candidly about risk, failure, money, artificial intelligence, and the process through which an idea can be turned into reality.
No theory. Real experiences.
