Powersoft, a leading Cypriot software company specialising in retail—particularly in the fashion sector—announces the launch of its new research project, ApparelBridge, with a total budget exceeding €300,000, of which €198,800 is co-funded by the Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF).
This marks Powersoft’s second investment in an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven project, aiming to develop a data harmonisation platform specifically designed for the fashion industry. The project is part of the competitive “Fast Track Innovation” program and will be completed in just 9 months, underscoring the speed at which Powersoft transforms innovation into real products.
The ApparelBridge platform aspires to deliver tools that allow companies in the industry to manage, compare, and leverage data from multiple sources with accuracy, speed, and intelligence, facilitating the export of Powersoft’s software solutions abroad.
Statement by CEO, George Malekkos (Project Manager):
“Artificial Intelligence is evolving at a pace we’ve never seen before in the history of technology. At Powersoft, with over 30 years of experience in fashion and retail, we’re harnessing that speed and combining it with our deep knowledge to create solutions that bring real value to the market.
ApparelBridge is more than just a tech project—it’s a strategic vehicle for innovation and international outreach for Cyprus.
I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Mr. Theodoros Loukaides (Director of the Research and Innovation Foundation) and his team at RIF, especially Mr. Stavros Kampanellas, project officer, for their guidance, support, and trust in our vision.”
Statement by Chryso Mousikou, Data Analytics Lead of the project:
“ApparelBridge is more than just a technological project—it’s the foundation for creating a shared ‘data language’ for the fashion industry.
With AI as our core tool, we aim to unify fragmented sources of information, giving companies in the sector the ability to make decisions based on reliable and harmonised data.
It’s an honour for me and my team to lead a project with the potential to radically change how the fashion industry approaches data and innovation.”
